|Andy Veitch is a Consultant Gastroenterologist in Wolverhampton with an interest in advanced endoscopy and endoscopy training. He is active in clinical research into endoscopy, GI bleeding, and bowel cancer screening. He has published national and European guidelines on anticoagulants and antiplatelet agents in endoscopy, and previously sat on the NICE Interventional Procedures Advisory Committee. In Wolverhampton he set up the first centre in the national Bowel Cancer Screening Programme in England, He is past Endoscopy Vice President of the British Society of Gastroenterology, and is currently leading a national drive for improved quality in upper GI endoscopy. Internationally he is leading on dissemination of UK JAG-style training to the World Gastroenterology Organisation's training centres globally. He sits on the Endoscopy, Guidelines and TTT committees of the WGO.
